Ever gone to hear a motivational speaker or a keynote speaker? That’s a couple of hours you’ll never get back in your life. Who here has EVER changed their lives as a result of listening to someone else kick your a** and tell you what you already know? The problem is that the high energy, enthusiasm and loud shouting only lasts as long as your memory allows for.
The challenge is accepting the fact that you need to change your life if you expect different results, you know, the definition of insanity. If you continue to do the same things the same way over and over again and expect a different result, you are truely insane!
People complain because it’s easy, but do they nothing to change their miserable lives. They resolve to work at a lousy job, for a stupid idiot boss, for rotten compensation, and complain daily about their lives to whoever is mental enough to listen to them. What’s wrong with this picture?
There are motivational speakers and there are entertainers. They are one and the same. Depending on your mood when you attend a session, you might agree that they are both communicating the same message, only a different way. So why attend? Sometimes another person can create a surge in your attitude, positive reinforcement maybe, lets face it, you are the only person who can decide what your life looks like. Either through someone or in spit of someone, you must decide which direction your life goes in.
