TV Rocks

I think TV rocks!
With just about everthing you could think of to watch on TV, the manufacturers have increased their focus on bigger is better marketing. From Plasma, DLP, LCD, HD, to all the letters in the alphabet, we the consumer are hooked on TV.
I am considering purchasing a new large screen TV, the choices are overwhelming. Of coure, the most important factor is how much money do I want to spend? I do own a NEC 40 inch rear projection TV, 15 years later, the picture has diminished to a mere blur. We don’t watch it anymore.
I purchased a Sony Trinitron Wega HD Ready set 5 years ago. Just before all the hype on picture clarity, HD was the very new rave but the broadcaters were not broadcasting in HD yet, so HD Ready sounded good to me at the time. Now the hot technology has progressed to a more impressive picture, sound and weighing a lot less than my Sony at 250 pounds.
So what’s a consumer to do? I’ve done my homework, but I’m still scared to make the final purchase in fear of the NEW and CHEAPER TV coming out next year. How do you know when the right time is, simple, you don’t. There will always be a new and better version of any electronic device, so buy it, use it, and enjoy it. Advice I need to hear myself and stop stalling.
