AOL Freeforall
AOL announced that their customer services will be FREE. Advertising costs will provide revenue to keep the company operating. Great news for all AOL users. The new plan calls for AOL to let people use its proprietary software to access the Internet FREE. AOL.com e-mail addresses and most of its existing information, downloads and services would also be FREE.

If they’d have done this 3 or 4 years ago it may have saved them but as it stands this will only slow the inevitable decline. They’ll soon sell off the ISP business and after cutting costs (and jobs) will complete their refocusing as a new media and advertising company.

I agree, AOL has already stated it will reduce staffing, too little, too late.
