How to Reduce Your Fine For Speeding

speeding.jpgThis worked for me, depending on your court system it might also work for you. The first thing I did was to plead “not guily”, that gave me 3 months before there was an official court hearing. When I arrived at court, I noticed there was about 30 cases on the docket for that day, a massive task to complete considering the start time was 9:30 A.M. The District Attorney began the proceedings by calling peoples names and having a very brief private conversation with them, I watched intensely, but couldn’ t hear a darn thing. Eventually he called my name, I quickly walked over to where he was, he started by asking if I wanted to change my plea to guilty, I said no. He then offered to reduce the speeding ticket so that the fine was much lower and no points would be assessed against me, I said sure why not. About 15 minutes later I was outside paying the fine, around one third the original amount, and drove home. As I said, I don’t know if this will work for you, but sometimes it pays to challenge the system.
